General Comments

We were travelling with Airtours to Reus Airport in August 2005. While travelling, the plane was delayed by an hour, as the first-aider was stuck in traffic. At one point Airtours tried to get us off the plane, but no one would move. Instead they played Madagascar to keep the children happy. They also asked people whether they would like some water, which was helpful. On the way back however, it landed 25 minutes before we were supposed to, but then we had to wait half an hour for the luggage to come through.
We stayed at the Hotel El Paso, and were pleased with our choice, especially when we saw The Hotel Port Aventura. Not only were our staff helpful, but they had computers which many people used to e-mail their friends. I was also pleased with the kids club. My sister went, and each time she got something for going, the only downside was that it cost 5 Euros per hour.
Although we booked the last two rooms, we had to pay extra for the view we had. Once we had seen it though, we didn't mind the extra cost.
The two main attractions there were Port Aventura and Costa Caribe. We had got a day free at Costa Caribe, but unfortunately we couldn't choose which day. We had to go on our last day, and we found it a big disappointment, as it was only really for younger children, and we did not stay the whole day. Port Aventura was much better. There were rides for everyone! We went as a group of seven, and we all enjoyed the Sea Odysea ride, although it seemed far scarier when we entered, we were glad that we chose to go on it. The only downside, was that you couldn't use your room keys as fast passes before 8pm, but after then you didn't need them anyway.
The trips that you could on on with Airtours were well worth the money, except the Bonavista Market. We found it was a big disappointment, as it only sold Spanish clothing and fruit. The Barcelona Fountains however, were fantastic, and I was first to buy a copy of it on DVD. We also bought a book about Barcelona and the sights that you could see. When we went, we got to see the Barcelona Football Club, do three hours of shopping, and see the fountains. Stars in Salou is also worth a trip, if only to see your reps make a fool of themselves. You also get to see horses dance, and Flamenco dancers. Our rep. also wanted us to go on the Jeep safari, and tried to push us into saying yes. Luckily she gave up.
Airtours were very helpful when we asked them if they had any information on the park. They gave us information on the hotel, the theme park and the town. Our rep. was very helpful when we asked her about our flight home. She told us what time to be outside the hotel, what time our flight was, and that we could still use the room keys to get into Port Aventura until that time.
Overall, Airtours provided us with a great holiday!
