Good Points

Modern, sleek compact design, powerful, if noisy motor.


Bad Points

Very noisy, but main fault is that it does not cut grass low enough, even at lowest setting. I have contacted Electrolux, twice, re this problem, and I am assured the lowest cut is 20mm, but I very much doubt it. I have to mow my lawns three times to obtain a decent finish.


General Comments

Electrolux say the Flymo Power Compact 400 Lawn Mower was designed for lowest cut of 20mm for 'safety reasons'. I just think, despite it's looks, the machine is bady designed. Although I bought the machine at a bargain price last Autumn (04) it does not perform anything like my previous mower, a Mountfield Princess. It can also be difficult to push at the lowest setting. Electrolux say I should complain to the retailer if dissatisfied as per Sale of Goods Act.
