Very detailed profiles and instant messaging service (whispers) is now much faster than it used to be.
Udate do not reply to complaints, contrary to their promise to always reply within 24 hours.
Their matching system that they seem to be so proud of does not work!
Members appear online up to 40 minutes after they have logged off causing lots of friction beween members who erroneously believe they are being ignored.
Adult pictures are not allowed, and even the most innocuous pictures of mine have been blocked!
Udate used to be the best dating site but now appears to have grown too big for its own boots. It has become arrogant and does not consider the needs of its members, even to the point where it will completely ignore messages of complaint!
One other point I, and others have noticed over the years. Just after your membership has expired you will log on to find lots of new 'whispers' from potential matches, far more than you had been getting whilst a member. Unable to read these you rejoin, only to discover that these 'whispers' no longer exist!
Again, question them about this and they no longer reply!
