General Comments

I would never reccomend the Zodiac Studios to anyone that wishes to enjoy their stay in Malia. On arrival we were charged 90 euros for air conditioning and a safe only to find that the key to the safe was attached to the door key which then has to be placed in an open cabinet when going out, so anyone had easy acces to the safe key.
My friend left her balcony door open for 5 minutes because she was putting some washing out to dry, she then noticed that for the next few days her air conditioning was not working, when she asked the staff why this was they told her they had taken the air conditioning away from her as a punishment and refused to put it back on or give her 90 euros back.
I think in the staff training they are taught to take as much money fom you on the sly as possible, there were 3 incidents when I had to ask for my change back because the staff had just walked off and 'forgot to give it back'.
The 'all you can eat bbq' was a joke, you have to pay 10 euros for a piece of meat and salad even then they bug you to buy more drinks.
After coming in from nights out we wanted to sit on our balcomy and chill before going to sleep but you can't even do that because the security guard hides in the bushes and shines his torch in your face and tells you to go to bed and turn of the lights. If you are faced with an issue during your stay there's no point in trying to solve it because the Bongo guy finds it amusing and just laughs in your face and he puts too much mayonnaise in his toasties.
So after all this we didn't think our stay would get much worse at the Zodiac Studios, until my friends went back in to their rooms to find two men hiding underneath their beds and the third person urinating all over their bathroom...when they told the staff at the Zodiac....still nothing was done.
The best part of our stay at the Zodiac was leaving it, it ruined our holiday, the only way they like you is if you spend all your money on them even then, they still take the mick.
If you are considering Zodiac as a place to stay I would think again I would not reccomend it at all. VERY POOR.

    This comment is to address the previous complaint by Ms neveragain:

    Zodiac Studios is an excellent accomodation visited by thousands of guests that have the time of their lives each year. Just take a look at our guestbook.

    Here at Zodiac Studios, we ask that everyone leaves their keys at the reception so that everyone in the party can get into the rooms without having to find who has the key. Also, the maid uses this to know who is in or out so she can clean the rooms without having to bang on doors and wake people up. We do not force anyone to leave their safe key at the reception.

    The air conditioning is set so that when the balcony door is open it stops working. When you find the sensor and block it with something, we turn the air conditioning off. After repeated times, we just take it away.

    Our BBQ is 'all you can eat' and no one has ever complained that the food wasn't good or enough.

    Sitting on your balcony is fine unless your waking everyone up at 6:00am. And we know from experience that no intoxicated person can sit on their balcony and not make noise. So its just a rule. This is a hotel and we/you must respect the neighbors who dont want to party at this hour.

    Locking your doors is very important when your staying at a hotel. So when your going from room to room visiting your friends, you really should lock your doors because you never know what you will find in your room when youve left it unattended.
    Also, there is nothing really we can do about it if you dont lock your doors. If something gets lost or stolen its completely your fault.

    In conclusion, when we have to deal with customers who are loud, disrespectful, obnoxious, and break all the rules that are made for your safety, don't expect the Bongo guy to want to help you out. We go out of our way every day to make sure all our guests have an enjoyable stay.
