This is wicked from 1964 with tracks including Shake It For Me, Dust My Broom, I Didn't Mean To Hurt Your Feelings, Forty Four. Wolf was probably the most energetic performer of the blues greats. His influence extends to the punk rock and grunge movements of latter generations such was the ferocious power of his playing and singing. Wolf was at his prime during this period as his music was being recognised by the R & B movement and he performed and recorded with the Stones and Clapton etc. His music begins to anticipate the blues rock of the seventies while being firmly rooted in his own primitive rhythmic style.
