Great road handling, performance is good for a 1.8L engine and good looks (turns a lot of heads). The Quattro all wheel is great!!!
Bad Points
My experience with our local Audi Dealer is hit and miss. The after sales not equal over brands in the $40K price range. Someone once told me that the TT is a VW Golf with $20K taped to the dash. That sums up my after sales experience. I have had suspension problems and electrical problems on this vehicle. The dealer had difficulty reproducing both these problems, I have pretty much given up on the electrics. Only one head light lights 9 times out of 10 however the dealer cannot reproduce. It seems like an auto-adjustment issue because if you turn on/off several times quickly it'll come on!! The other annoying issue is if you leave the car for a few days it drains the battery. A $70 jumper box is a great optional extra from Wal-Mart (however don't leave it in the trunk as this is only opened electrically from inside the car).
General Comments
Pretty much the Audi TT Roadster is a fun sporty car. It has great handling ability for throwing into tight corners and powering through the Quattro gives you the confidence to not worry about fish-tailing. The TT is at home around country roads, however highway it holds its own. You get a lot of road noise on the highway, however the 6 speed box provides good ratios for the 225HP engine. You don't have to keep shifting up and down the box for overtaking granted the turbo does provide a bit of lag but once it's there you're chugging along nicely. Like it, however would not buy another when researching drove all cars in the category;350Z, G35, S2000, Z3, Z4 etc and the TT done it for me at the time.
The car is fun and sporty however the after sales are something to pay close attention too. I like the car, however I do not love it. My next car was going to be an S4 however the M3 is looking more favorable despite being a fan of the Quattro system!
