I purchased a Brother Colour 1820C , 6 months ago, and have only had six faxes sent to it and now the colour cartridges are empty, I have been in touch with Brother, and they have said that it goes through a cleaning cycle every couple of days and this uses some ink, if I had known this I would not have purchased this model of Fax machine.

I purchased a Brother Fax Machine 1820C and have had nothing but TROUBLE with it. It is always on the blink displaying an error 41 message or it constantly is malfunctioning in some sort of way. I've had it serviced by Brother TWICE within the last 5 months and it STILL performs like a piece of garbage. Ironically, that when it did work occasionally, it copied and faxed very well. However, it worked only when it felt like it. I STRONGLY urge all consumers to not purchase Brother Fax Machine. If you do not want to get aggravated and waste time, stay away from them.
