Umm... You get a free film? Comparitively cheap.
Bad Points
Slow service, poor quality prints, low resolution coversion to digital. Cheap for a reason.
General Comments
I have just received back my 8 films that I sent to Tripleprint over two weeks ago for processing and transferring to CD and I have to say, "disappointed" doesn't even cut it.
The prints have been poorly developed, the colour levels are just plain wrong - colour saturation is terrible with yellows being far too high leaving flesh tones looking jaundiced and unnatural.
As for the digital copies colour saturation is fine, however resolution is atrocious! The pictures are pixilated and blocky, as if I had taken them on a camera phone. And this is demonstrable too in that the jpeg file size of a photo taken on my Nokia 6680 is 350-709kb whilst the file size of their digital pictures is 390-739kb. If I wanted poor digital photos of my holiday I would of saved some money and used my camera phone, however I wanted good quality high resolution photos that would at least stand up to being blown up to full screen size (even a cheap 4 megapixel digital camera is capable of this!), which is not what I got.
Let's hope that their business does not rely solely on word of mouth as, rest assured, mine is feeling far from complimentary.
Avoid disappointment, avoid Tripleprint.
