Good Points

Excellent picture quality, easy to use, and the ability to pause live broadcasts is an asset.

Bad Points

Recordings disappear from Library - and from the record settings

General Comments

I have had a DigiFusion FVRT150 recorder for approx 4 months and have found it so easy to use and record, but over the past couple of weeks, I have found that settings I have made for later recording have not been carried out, and programs that I have recorded have disappeared from the Library, and I cannot now trust it to carry out instructions, and even if it does, will the recording disappear from the library.

Since my last review, I had further trouble with the FVRT150, after overnight programme updates, I woud find my recorder in HOLD, a couple of times I switched off and on again a little later, and the Hold would go, (I was a bit dubious about this), because I had previously lost recordings by switching off. Then it went in to HOLD and would not come out of it, I rang fusions service number who said the unit was faulty, and to take it back to Retailer(Argos-who no longer stock this model). so I got a Sagem PVRT7280T, and then the real trouble started:- missed recordings, half of a recording, then when you try to restart it, it quotes "Recording in progress you cannot modify it", you can only make one recording at a time, via the guide, because it adds 5mins in front and 15 mins after end time, which means you cannot make consecutive recordings via the guide, so you have to enter them yourself via the menu, then it says a setting of (1500 0n and 1530 off, then 1530 on and 1600) off is an overlapping time. Then to crown it all it interupts my TV viewing with a screen that says please replace the TOP UP CARD, clever since I had not got around to getting one of those. Got it on Saturday returned it as faulty on Tuesday. I now have a Fusion FVRT200 - installed fine, will give review on it when I find out its problems, at the moment it appears to be quiter than the FVRT150 and has some pretty blue lights around the buttons.

I am looking into buying a digifusion FVRT 200 so very keen to see what you have to say about it. What HI FI has it as a best buy but its interesting to see what a person makes of it, especially one with past experience. Its a shame the sky+ box is subsricption only.

I found out that if you set it to record sub-titles, it records everything in SP mode, and does not wipe recordings at end of month.
