Good Points

Very close to Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto, etc...
Very friendly and helpful.
Good food, good prices.
Clean rooms and good sized bathrooms.

Bad Points

As far as I could see, there weren't any.

General Comments

If you are looking for a peaceful place, not too far from the action in Siracusa and Ortigia, try the Limoneto. My friend and I just returned from a wonderful trip in Sicily, and decided to stay there for two nights. We had a clean, good-sized double room (#8), which was private and over looked the lemon grove. It was around E90 per night. We spent the extra E20+ for dinner (drinks were extra also), and we were so glad we did. The food was excellent! The first night we were there, we were served a fritta mista (delicately fried sea urchins, calamari, shrimp), pasta with shrimp, a tasty salad (all family style), and a delicious dessert with their own limoncella (yum!). The second night, which was a Saturday (I think!), they had a gigantic buffet of about 30 vegetable and pasta dishes, pizza, fresh pineapple slices, cheeses and, of course, limoncella, which they make there (of course, we had to buy a bottle to take back home!!), and we were entertained by Adelina's son on the keyboard.
Adelina and her husband are very kind, knowledgeable people. He even helped me with my Italian. He also showed us around the farm. We arrived by taxi (the driver told us they were good people and the food... this he expressed by kissing his fingers, as the Italians do, as an expression of delicious and heavenly). We had decided to just spend the day lazying around as we did not have a car (big mistake on our part!), and their daughter, Dora, offerred to drive us into Siracusa on her way home. We returned by bus which stopped a little before the road to the Limoneto, and then we walked down about 1/2 to 1 mile to the Limoneto (ok with us as we got some exercise). This was a memorable time during our trip, and I would recommend it highly. When we return to Sicily, we will return to the Limoneto. I rated it very high as a bed & breakfast, because I felt this was a fine sample of Sicilian hospitality and food.
