The "Motorcycle" bags from Balenciaga are incredibly stylish and chic. I personally prefer the Balenciaga "Work" bag now, but at $17,500 it's a bit impractical for most. The vibrant colors of the Motorcycle bag and the fringing make it trendy and eye-catching.
Bad Points
It's not a timeless bag, there is a reason it's called an "it" bag ... it's "it" for a moment. It's not a classic bag that can go from season to season ... it's like any it bag. The Louis Vuitton Murakami, the Gucci Serpent bag, or the Christian Dior "Hardcore Dior" bag. It's not a Chanel Quilted bag or an Hermes birkin it will regress eventually. Balenciaga has a few timeless bags like "The Work" or "The Shopper" but it's not exactly practical price wise.
General Comments
The Balenciaga bag is fun, eyecatching, creative, and great a perfect bag for a few years. It'll be hot for about 2 more years (it's already losing steam) and the Chloe Paddington & every Bottega Venetta bag is swooping in on the glory. If you can afford to replace a $1,300 bag every few years it's a choice bag for you.
