Cheap compare to the Avanti 853c. Fairly accurate 1/2" at 10 meters in a sitting position. On easy pump. A clip for 5 pellets. It has a scope rail. Good composite plastic. Fiber optic easy removed.
The pumping handle was not staying up when not pumped up so i fixed that with a few layer of electrical tape around the handle arm 1" foward the actual handle. The trigger and bolt are a little harder then the Avanti 853c.
I got my Daisy 953 from D & L in BC for $110.89 + s&h $26.00 + gst $9.58 = $146.47 Canadian dollars.
But for about 1/3 of the price of a Daisy Avanti 853c, I think that Daisy has a winner here.
My 853c chrono at 490 fps with Copperhead pointed and the 953 chrono at 495 fps with Copperhead pointed.
All in all I am very happy with it.
So far I only shot with it 450 times.
