Good Points

None whatsoever.

Bad Points

When contacted by phone, they will say that it will be sorted out then do nothing. Unfortunately a lot of car sales in this area use GE Capital Woodchester for car loans.

General Comments

I sent a cheque on 27th July 2005, to pay off an outstanding loan on a car, along with a letter. I found out the cheque had been paid into their account on 29th July, but when contacted said that they didn't have knowledge of this!!
Eventually after repeated telephone calls with negative result, I sent a letter on 11th August threatening legal action . I telephoned today 17th August, and was told that the loan is now cleared, but that written confirmation would not be sent out until after 26th August. This is totally unacceptable, and this is one person who will never take on a loan from the aforementioned GE Capital Woodchester.

we took out a loan for a car 6 months ago we decided that we would like to change the car. the car we have is a 51 plate corsa' the new car is a 05 plate clio we have not missed a payment but we were refused the credit. on what grounds' we dont know; the extra finance comes to about £7.50 a week so its not as if we cant afford it as its over a longer term. so iam afraid that we are stuck with a car we dont want for the next two and a half years; makes a lot of sense doesnt it.
