Good Points

Clean, modern, safe and quiet. English receptionists (except one,) and some of the maids were also English. Regular towels and linen change every 2 days, and your room is given a good clean at the same time. Already recommended El Pinar to friends.

Bad Points

NO AIR CON!!

General Comments

This was our second year at Cala LLonga, but our first at EL Pinar. We had a one bed apartment, mainly because we wanted more space (2 kids), but found that the studio's in the reception block were massive, and would have been more than sufficient (and £300 cheaper!!!).
El Pinar is very clean, safe, modern and quiet, and in the best possible location, a couple of steps down onto a fabulous sandy beach. There's entertainment on each night until 12am, but the bar will remain open for as long as people want it to. We stayed in an apartment overlooking the pool, it was very peaceful at night, and generally no noise from the pool until around 10am in the morning. The facilities in the apartment were basic, but you wanted for nothing, except air con! We hired a fan for 20 euros a week, but later found it would have been cheaper for us to have purchased one from one of the local shops.
The bar staff and waitresses were very polite and friendly, and would instantly come to your table to serve you, service was very prompt, apart from the evening mealtimes, they were run off their feet, and it could take a maximum of half an hour to pay for your bill, so I suggest going to the bar area to pay for it yourself instead of waiting for a waitress to come and collect it from you.
All in all a superb aparthotel. Suitable for mainly families and couples, young and old. A tip if you're booking a studio, request studio 3 in the reception block, as they are the bigger studio's and 90% of those are sea view, the smaller studio's are located across the road, and they are just as modern, but the balconies on some looked tiny.
