My tempest shoots 13.8 gr BSA elites at 348fps with very nice accuracy. More than enough to kill rats. 8 last year.....The tempest is the kind of pistol that once you pick it up it is hard to put down. A great gun to take on a picnic or fishing if you fancy a bit of plinking. Overall one of my favorite airguns.
