Snappy, crisp and chewy, all at once
Size, great for nibbling, or munching
Taste, rich and haunting
That guilty feeling when you see the long wrapper of a pack discarded, oops you ate them all!
The other two reviews on here are completely illogical, and I would question if the authors have eaten a real Ginger Nut biscuit.
First, 'do not let them go soggy?'. Well, Ginger Nuts do not go 'soggy' like a Rich Tea... they can soak up liquid very nicely, and be consumed in that way. Secondly - you can ... how to put this... suck ginger nuts (ok there goes my credibility as a reviewer) and use your teeth to scrape away the biscuit as it gets soggy -quite disgusting to do in public, so save that for a private occasion.
What is a biscuit without chocolate another review says, and then mentions the hallowed Bourbon Biscuit - which has no chocolate taste to speak of, yet still holds it own with garibaldi, fig rolls, digestives and ginger nuts.
A ginger nuts can be used as the basis of some recipes - try substituting 1/4 of your digestives for ginger nuts, and removing some butter from the recipe... lighter snappier biscuit bases with more zing.
In summation, a warm, intoxicating flavour that you can get tired of, but quickly miss. A great dunking biscuit, with more appeal than 98% of biscuits out there.
