Good Points

Fantastic grip/handling capabilities with correct tyres (yokos) exceptionally fast, old skool.Cheap to make go fast!

Bad Points

Rust. Major problem. Its a Metro. You gotta own one to really appreciate them.

General Comments

I payed £500 for my Metro, it was a 1.1c. I changed the engine for a 1.6 16 valver out of a 25. 145 bhp with vhpd throttle body conversion, with a jan speed inlet manifold, and kent high lift cams. sits quite nicely at 145mph with the cableshift pg1 gear box out of the mgtf. The handling is feeble as standard, but with Volkswagen Polo rear shocks, and MGTF front coil-overs, with the standard gti anti roll bars, it goes round corners like its on rails! The only thing to let it down is the rust, you will nvr beat it, as hard as you try it just keeps coming back! in summary the Metro is a very unique car, there has to be an eliment of passion to own and modify 1.
