Build quality
We owned this Megane from new and traded it in at 11 months old for a 5yr old Saab to attempt to get a car that lacked the Megane's 'personality'. This personality included: 1)Fault in the airbag system which appeared when driving our new car off the forecourt. This turns off all airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners. It was fixed after all airbags where changed and 3 airbag computers. It was in and out of the garage constantly for its first 3months. 2)Radio selecting the channel and not allowing it to change appeared at 6months 3)Wiping front windscreen and pouring water down the back appeared at 6 months 4) Creaking noises from suspension when getting in and out of the car and on bends appeared at 10 months 5) Bonnet catch fault so bonnet would start bouncing on safety catch whilst driving....11 months This was the final straw, we did not want to own this pup when out of warranty at 12 months old and the endless faults would take months to fix at our expense.
