Good Points

Room cleaning everyday. Staff were nice and helpful.


Bad Points

Poor choice of food at evening meals, waiter service rather than buffet. Pool area small concrete space on a roof next to road. Room very noisy day and night (next to road). Hotel very old and a bit run down. virtually no entertainment. On very steep hill. Good long walk into Funchal town centre. No air conditioning.


General Comments

Booked as a Thomson Price Breaker so did not know which hotel we'd be in. The information about the Raga hotel was inaccurate stating that it is "modern", with buffet meals, which it is not. Relatively cheap for Madeira and now we know why. Would not use this hotel again.
