Cheap, good looking main unit, 5.1 surround. Good picture quality.
Won't play all VCD's sticks on some DVDs, get the region free hack to sort.
All in all a good unit, the surround sound is good quality, the only downside is that if you go too high 45+ then the sub loops out and rattles but when the max volume is 50 who would really listen to it that loud. Admittedly it doesn't want to play VCD's I make or certain DVD's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire interactive game, but with a region free hack it seems to sort these problems. I love the look of the main unit, a mirrored front when off but when on a nice LCD display. The power on button is a bit clunky but it does the job and is only small, but I keep it on standby all the time not needing to use the manual button. Very easy to wire up and the manual is more than helpful. Scart plug on the back so very easy to connect to TV. Plays MP3's, Radio (FM/MW), CD's and DVD,s with Dolby Digital 5.1 encoder built in. Best of all is the total customisation of the sound you receive, so many options. Can't fault the unit, especially for the price. Very good indeed. Sub £200 unit punching well above its weight. You will not be displeased with it.
