Good Points

This is a very clean hotel, staff are very friendly and speak very good English.

Bad Points

The food is very plain, not much selection if you are a vegetarian.
The food is very repetitive.
You have to haggle over prices of everything!

General Comments

Monastir Sahara Beach - Overall this hotel is wonderful!
Once at the airport it takes a matter of minutes to get to this hotel. Once at the hotel you have to have your photo taken to go onto a card to let you begin your all inclusive holiday. You then have to carry this card with you throughout your holiday as it entitles you to all your food and drink through out your stay. I would prefer a wristband as it is easier and you cant forget it!
The rooms are lovely, you do not get a tv but there are tv's in some of the bars.
The pools and the beach are lovely, on the beach be careful of the men who try to get you to buy things, they can get annoying!
When I arrived at this hotel I was told that this hotel is the biggest hotel in Tunisia! it can hold up to 2500 guests and believe me it does! It was fully booked throughout the 2 week holiday I had. If you want a relaxing hols this is not for you! To start you have to be up at 7am to get sunbeds, if you leave it any later they are gone, by 8 they are gone!!!
This hotel is mainly for families with young children, if you are not going with young children then ask yourself if you want a holiday with lots of children anway.
The food is very bland and not much choice if you are a vegetarian. The food is cooked in lots of fat so you will pile on the pounds!
The last thing to say is buying things!!!!!
To get to the nearby towns it is best to get a taxi, before you get in the taxi you have to agree a price with the driver!
Once in the town go to the government run shops. Each town will have one, the items in this shop are priced to set prices so you know how much it will cost, if you buy anywhere else you have to haggle with them and agree a price, this is very annoying and unless you enjoy doing it I would suggest you don't.
Hope this helps.
