Appalling customer service.


General Comments

I ordered a tent with Adventure1.co.uk, and received a confirmation of the purchase just afterwards. A while later, I received another email saying that the tent was out of stock. So I wrote back to politely express my dissapointment, and to ask whether they would order new stock. This was the reply:
"Dear Kind Sir
May I point out to you that you were not sent any bill for any goods. You were sent a confirmation only, and if you could read, then you would have seen this. You are obviously not on the same planet as the rest of us. Do you think that shops order in clearance lines? Why would we clear tents at cost price, and then order more to clear at cost price? When they are gone they are gone, are you totally naive? The tent you ordered was a clearance line, and was snapped up in hours by customers, there was no time to take it off the website."
Nice service.
