Good Points

Totally reliable ~ reasonably economical with 3.08 diff, fun to drive ~ parts goods


Bad Points

Original seats not good ~ wind noise from quarter windows bad.


General Comments

The Torana XU-1 is a great ~ fun package. High performance, reliable unit. The steering with the rack and pinion is light and accurate. A trick to tune the triple carbs, but a breeze once mastered. Sensible mods make it even more efficient .. A pleasure to own. The body is prone to rust in the heater/ ventilation cavity on either side immediately below the right and left side of the windscreen lower corners...body / structural ~ not good! The clutch rod assembly and or rod can snap without warning.
