I've dabbled in the world of spread betting every now and again, not with a lot of money and definitely not seriously - I just find spread betting more fun than paying a pound every week on the lotto. Each time I've placed a bet I've gone through City Index - their site is easy to use and explains everything you need to know. At the moment you are not taxed on your winnings which is a plus but be warned this is in no way easy money and I have both lost and won when I've bet - be sure to research everything properly, be cautious and sensible, don't go over the top and only bet what you can afford - if you do all this it can be a fun and interesting way of gambling with your money.
