Good Points

The local people were friendly.
Pretty cheap to eat out or visit the local bar.
The hotel had a beautiful view from the front.
The best part of the hotel was kept clean.

Bad Points

The food in the hotel wasn`t great.
Entertainment was non-existent.
Very few members of staff spoke english.
A number of guests had property stolen from their rooms, and I personally thought that they didn`t have enough staff.
Hotel was on top of a huge hill with the beach at the bottom.
The majority of local shops closed pretty early.

General Comments

We found the local people friendly although they didn`t speak much english, this was also the case with many of the hotel staff.
The Bellevue Hotel, in San Feliu De Guixols, Costa Brava, was kept clean for then main part. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned everyday, although the toilets at swimming pool level did get a bit smelly.
If you are lucky enough to get a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the bay, then what a beautiful sight! Unfortunately we had a view around the side of the hotel, which was a square of concrete with a few trees as the backdrop.
The food in the hotel would be fine if you were a big fish lover, as there were not many other choices. Meat dishes were not labelled, and the food looked inedible some days, so we ate out a few times.
For the amount of people that the hotel holds, I had expected more staff, but there were not that many. At night, they only had one staff member working on the bar.
The entertainment was non-existent when we arrived, although half way through our holiday, new entertainment staff were hired, which was brilliant for the children during the day, but it still lacked in quality entertainment in the evenings.
At least three guests had property stolen from their rooms, in the week that I was there.
The hill wasn`t the worst of the bad points about the holiday. I could manage to climb it a couple of times a day, but those with young children, or people who can only manage to climb a couple of flights of stairs, won`t be amused.
