General Comments

Delfin Azul Hotel - My family and I (two adults and 2 kids) spent a week at the Delfin Azul in June this year. All week the weather was perfect (30 degrees plus and sunny). The hotel is immaculately clean all over and the reception area is airy and welcoming. The reception staff were extrmemely helpful throughout the stay as well.

The room itself was basic and fairly small but adequate for our needs. There is no TV, kettle, etc., in the rooms which was a shame, but satellite TV was available in the bar. Even for June the rooms were very stuffy and could really do with air conditioning. Fans were available for hire but were quite expensive. Our room faced away from the pool and was by the main road so was quite noisy from the traffic - therefore having door open all the time was not an option. French doors did not have safety glass but this is allowed in Spain so beware! It was also expensive to hire the room safe (30 euro for the week.) Bar prices average about £2.50 per pint, but there are plenty of more reasonably priced bars on the street outside. The Foxes Inn was our favourite - run by an English couple from Leicestershire. It also served proper English food and drink (home from home).

Food at the hotel was of a good standard although not a lot of variety between the days (i.e., Hake was served in several different guises, as was pork!). Kids have a separate menu which is good as they can get chips, nuggets, etc. - the usual rubbish kids enjoy!! Restaurant staff were very friendly and even gave us a birthday cake for my son who celebrated his birthday whilst there!

The pool is big and has a separate kids shallow area, NICE!. Entertainment was varied and good for the whole family Thomson reps were always avaiable and put on good day trips if wanted.

All in all a very good hotel and a very enjoyable holiday!
