It's small and very easy to install. Doesn't have a power cord or a power switch. Very low profile.
It can cause the computer to lag while initiating, depending on your motherboard or USB card.
This modem is USB. Which is cool if you like simplicity and small external devices. All you do to install this modem is plug it into a USB port and plug it into the phone jack. These only cost $50 which is a steal for a 56k external. This modem also has no indicator lights except for an "On" light. This all depends on style, I guess, considering that it is just as expensive as the TFM-560X which is the same modem that uses a serial connection and has all the features of a fully featured external.
