Lovely to look at.
Outrageously expensive, and poorly constructed interior fittings.
I bought my SMEG FAB28 Retro Fridge on Ebay, and was not concerned to learn that 'several bottle shelves were missing, but easily available from SMEG'. Indeed they are, and at an astonishing price! They charge £23 for a piece of plastic (the shelf), the front lip of which is so low that you also need a metal bar guard, which is £29.70, and possibly another piece of plastic guard to stop the bottles falling over, at a mere £14.66. So each shelf costs £73.36! A replacement bottle shelf bought in February had broken 4 months later. I queried this, and SMEG had no satisfactory explanation! A retailer suggested that the shelves weren't really suitable for glass bottles or larger plastic milk bottles! The problem could be solved if the shelves weren't made of such brittle plastic, but even so the price would still be exorbitant.
There is a heavy padded door to the fridge section, which is supported on two very small plastic 'knobs', which are entirely unsuitable to carry the weight, and are now broken!
