Good Points

It looks OK. Quickly and easily tuned itself.


Bad Points

When the unit is turned off, the clock is usually wrong by any number of hours (it seems to be random). It crashes, and am then not able to change channel or turn it off, which means I have to scramble under some units to unplug it! I can no longer get channel 5, which used to be very clear, then it gradually started to pixelate, now I can't get any signal at all. Channel 4 seems to be going the same way. There is nothing in the way of support.


General Comments

I selected the Matsui DTR 1 Freeview Box partly because of price, but also because I have a Matsui video, which has been going strong for 10 - 12 years now, without any trouble at all. It is possible that I have a dodgy unit.
I am not at all happy with the Matsui DTR 1, and it is going back!
