Good Points

Olu Deniz is absolutely beautiful, particularly the lagoon.


Bad Points

Night receptionist rude. Rooms left open before arrival so full of mosquitos, bar food poor, bedding uncomfortable.


General Comments

The Karbel Sun Hotel in Olu Deniz gives no impression of the real Turkey. Prices are far higher here, the food is mainly British, the waiters and bar staff are not nearly as friendly and accomodating as in other parts of Turkey. The hotel is very basic, with uncomfortable bedding, lots of mosquitos, poor bar food and a very rude and unhelpful night porter. I would say avoid the hotel and the resort unless you want Britain abroad.
