Good Points

Lovely sharp images. Not too heavy. Big 2 inch LCD display. Optical Zoom is very handy. Quite compact, fits in your pocket perfectly, or on your belt when in case. Good Quality video, very clear in daylight.

Bad Points

LCD display gobbles alot of battery power, along with the red-eye reduction flash. So make sure you have Rechargeable battery's handy. Movie files use alot of memory, depending on the capacity of your memory card (I recommend you buy more memory, at least 512mb SD).

General Comments

The Samsung Digimax A400 camera is perfect for all your picture capturing moments! Its light, its quite compact, it fits on your belt nicely. The images are every bit clear in daylight, bringing out every bit of detail. The images arn't as sharp in low light, with flash, but nothing a bit of editing can't handle. The resolution is excellent. The movie clips are very good quality, and are at a good speed of 24fps at 640 x 480. (which you can lower to 15fps for smaller file sizes). The menu is very easy to control and cycle through pictures. Software is very easy to install and understand. An overall great camera to have for all your capturing needs. I gave battery life a 8 because it works well with rechargeable batterys. Normal AA batterys do run out quickly.
