Good Points

The hotel has been recently refurbished so the fit and finish is impeccable. The hotel is very luxourious with attentive staff. The pool is oxygenated so you don't stink of chlorine all day. There are loads of sun loungers with those around the pool being more like double beds than loungers. The food is fantastic with a good mix. The main menu at the restaurant is a Japanese Mediterrean fusion and is altered each night by the executive chef.

Bad Points

Towards the end of the holiday more families turned up which meant more kids in the pool, this wasn't a problem but we were spoilt by the tranquility of the first week. The Garden view rooms back on to a main road which can get busy, definately go for sea view!!

General Comments

This holiday, Almyra, Kato Paphos was for my honeymoon and we had a great time. There is a honeymoon package which I bought for £118 CYP this gave a room upgrade, a free 5 course meal in the sea facing restaurant worth £44 CYP, a champagne breakfast in the room, a free gift on arrival and Champagne in the room on arrival, I think it was very good value.

The hotel is extremely modern, with black slate on the floors and an abundance of soft furnishings in the reception area, which also has a nice bar. The bar sells the greatest milkshakes in European history!! The reception then has a spiral staircase down to one of the three restaurants, where breakfast is served in the morning.

The breakfast is very good, serving Bacon, Egg, Sausage, beans, all those English favourites, along with all the continental food and cereals. They also provide lots of fresh fruit which was very tasty and they would also whip up a smoothy for you.

All in all the holiday was amazing, the resort has a very lively bar street, but we gave that a miss, it reminded me of a much smaller scale Ayia Napa. We headed down toward the harbour where there a lot of nice restaurants. I reckon you'll have a great time if you book here, it's not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Oh and if you get a chance book a meal on top of the Kyma suite, the Kyma suites are the most expensive rooms, which have massive roof terraces. You can book a 5,7 or 9 course meal on the roof terrace which is individually tailored to your likes, you can also have recommended wine with each course for £10 CYP extra which is a good deal because you end up with a whole lot of wine!! It wasn't cheap but it was definitely a highlight of our honeymoon.
