A pit bull with a sound temperament is a very human friendly and affectionate animal. A versatile breed, they do extremely well as therapy dogs and wheelchair assistance.
Bad Points
Often owned by people who have no business owning a goldfish, let alone a dog. May drown you in sloppy kisses!
General Comments
As a SPCA volunteer for nearly a decade now, I have been working with a wide variety of breeds. Of all of them, the American Pitbull Terrier has got to be my favourite. Despite the fact that many of these dogs I've worked with were abused, they still remain exceedingly loving and loving.
