Good Points

Nice 'phone, stylish, lots of features, feels good in the hand, very positive action when you open or close it.

Bad Points

The battery is rubbish!
Signal reception is so-so.

General Comments

I was going to leave vodafone, but was bought off by the claimed MP3 on the Motorola V980. I should have left.

I have always, until this Motorola, had Nokia phones. Some very good, all good, all completely reliable and with outstanding battery life.

With this Motorola I thought it would be nice, not only to load some favourite tracks to listen to but also to use them as ring-tones for friends and family (Ozzy's looped cough at the beginning of Sweet Leaf is a cracker for my wife).

What I didn't anticipate was that after only 3 - 4 short calls (fewer than 5 minutes) and text messages the damned thing would die on me, and as for listen to a track or 3 ....!

I don't understand why my wife's 40Gb MP3 can hold a charge for most of the day while playing any amount of Beethoven, Rossini, Mozart and Floyd, and Motorola use something about as good as an EverReady.

There are other minor glitches, but show me a 'phone that's perfect. However, I shall be returning to Nokia as soon as I can.
