General Comments

Kung Fu Hustle has an art-house feel because of the subtitles (original language chineseish). Set in pre-revolutionary China it has one of the the standard Kung Fu plot types - small guys forced to battle big guys.

It carries this off very well - the scenes and shooting enhance the quality art-house feel. The comedy is very good - some excellent slapstick scenes, though the second half of the films concentrates on increasingly cosmic Kung-Fu as every opne and their dog is revealed to be hiding from their kicking and chopping past. Watch the film and you'll understand.

All-in-all a very decent film.
