Casey Maija's review of Fasana, Villa Vedran (apt)

★★★☆☆

“We booked a 4-person apartment, with washing machine....”

Written on: 16/07/2005 by Casey Maija

Good Points
Fasana is suitable for family holidays. The water is extremely clear. Several moderately priced reastaurants and shops to buy foodstuff. Using a taxi is fairly cheap.

Bad Points
The accommodation was not at all that was promised, and the host treated us unpleasantly.

General Comments
We booked a 4-person apartment, with washing machine. When we arrived we were given another smaller apartment, which we believe to be a 2+2. 2 of us had to sleep in a fold-up sofa and the others in a spare bed. There was no dining table (shown in pictures), no cupboard space for food, only 2 hotplates (no oven), no promised washing machine. The hosts did not apologize, or even admit that they bumped us down, they just told us we should be happy or could go elsewhere - not so easy to arrange at that point. They treated us very unpleasantly.

I would recommend Croatia and Fasana, but NOT this apartment (Matije Vlačića 68).

Note: Birunji Island guided tour was a bit disappointing, but we stayed on, and hired bicycles to see more - that was nice. One can also swim at the hotel beaches.
