Good Points

Old school External. 56k flex. All the status LED's. Seems to work really nice. Saves a PCI slot.


Bad Points

Top cover is clear, so you have to memorize what every LED means in order. It's external and has to plug into a wall, and some people don't like that. Uses more electricity than an internal modem.


General Comments

I haven't had this modem very long, but it seems to be a very well made, reliable modem that is everything modems ever have been. This unit costs $50. It is easy to install and set up, all you have to do is plug it into the phone jack, computer and wall socket. The modem is external and for people with limited desk space, this can cause a problem. This is about as good as 56k's can get.
