The Beeman Silver Bear was inexpensive. And it included a scope. Was purchased at Walmart for $45.
Gun was rather heavy. Break breach loading is not the easiest way to go. Trigger pull (too much leeway).
This Beeman Silver Bear 1783 was my first airgun. A neighbour had loaned me a Crossman to help with my skunk/squirrel problem. This prompted me to purchase on e of my own. Even though the box states that scope is already sighted in. It needed tweaking. I found to shoot a little left & low. However it was easy to remedy. Got some free targets off the internet and printed some up. After an hour, I had the air gun shooting within a diameter of a quarter. Once you adjust yourself with the trigger mechanism, you're ok. It has a bit play. You have to squeeze a little distance to take off the long pull. But, I mastered it quick. For the money, it's a great buy. At 500fps, was skeptical about actual knock down. Out of 5 squirrels, one shot, one kill at short distance.
