Good Points
The suction is OK, not brilliant.

Bad Points
HEAVY, the hose for stair cleaning and upholstery is a right PAIN to use. The vacuum tips over very easyly when using the hose. The seal that prevents dust from dropping out of the clear bin is a waste of time, dust goes EVERYWHERE!

General Comments
I bought this Dyson DC07 silver yellow upright almost a year ago under the pretense that it was supposed to be a good vacuum. The truth is that Dyson products are completely over-rated! It has been a nightmare. The suction on the machine is OK, but definitely not any better than some other similar priced vacuum cleaners. I have a long-haired dog and found that this machine could not cope with cleaning up the hair properly. Cleaning anything with the hose was also a total nightmare as the process of taking the hose out of the handle is time consuming and uncomfortable. Another major fault with this machine is that it weighs a lot. As long as you live in a bungalow or in a flat, it's OK, but if you have to take this machine up and down stairs it's a hassle. Overall I was very disappointed with this vacuum cleaner so I took it back to the store and got a full refund. I now have bought a German make vacuum cleaner: SEBO. It is the best thing around! If you are planning on purchasing a Dyson I seriously suggest you try one first because in all honesty, I think that the machine does not match all the marketing and publicity behind the Dyson name. You will simply be funding their advertisement campaigns and end up with a useless machine!
