Good Points

Rooms excellent, food very good, plenty of choice, hotel grounds immaculate and just beautiful, beach was fantastic, activities very good too


Bad Points

Nightly entertainment pretty bad, except for one couple who sang for only a couple of hours one night, and the jazz band. Mini bar is a rip off! and some drinks are expensive too (for those on half board) usage of the internet is a rip off 5euro for 15 mins!


General Comments

We came to Mauritius in June for our honeymoon for a total of 9 days. This is perfect for honeymooners, retired couples, and romantic getaways. Not in my opinion suitable for children as there are no activities for them. Beautiful beaches which were almost empty. There are lots of tours/trips on offer. We went firstly to IL de coco which was just fabulous. It's what you would call the more luxurious trip. We went on a catamaran trip which was very exciting and the island we went to was excellent too, bbq on the beach, plenty of drink too. We saw three baby sharks come to shore to feed at the end of the trip. On the way back we saw tons of 'flying fish' that was very cool. There are so many different birds everywhere you go. (For the David Attenborough's amongst) there's plenty to see. Oh a very unusual thing at the hotel, the nightly chorus of frogs (no I'm not joking) it only lasts for a couple of hours from around 7 to 9... Frogs are excellent for keeping the creepy crawlies at bay... We had a bottle of champers on arrival and a basket of fruit and when we had a special meal for our honeymoon, we went back to the room to find that the bed had flowers all over it and petals made into the shape of a heart!!! A lovely touch and totally unexpected. The hotel itself was very well laid out, immaculately clean and nice and cool too. Can't think of any more to say, just that we were so glad we came and wed highly recommend it.
