Good Points

This gun is the same as the real ppk/s (all but the magazine) and its blowback just sweetens the deal. The gun is all metal and it feels sweet to hold and the hammer stays back on this gun. (unlike the AIRSOFT walther P22 which I also have... by the way that gun is also fun and its safer because its airsoft)

Bad Points

The magazine is plastic and it is skinnier then the real ppk/s mag. Magazines are hard to find in stores and I would never suggest you order from the web because it is never safe to use your credit card on the internet

General Comments

When I bought my Walther PPK/S with Nickle Slid I was so excited, when I got home I loaded it up and started shooting. I was not dissipointed at all... the power of it was really strong and the realilistic blowback made it even more enjoying to fire... it flys back with power like a real gun. This gun is also good on co2... other reviews say you get only 30 shots out of it but I got at least 80 shots. I bought my ppk/s at Canadian tyre for about $175 Canadian and it was worth every penny. I would recomend this gun to anyone that is looking for a sweet time. THIS GUN ROCKS!

I felt the same way when I bought a PPK from Can.Tire myself almost a year ago after firing a couple of firearms and wanting something with recoil. It was a lot of fun for the first couple of month, but the power and accuracy were just terrible so I got rid of the gun after about 6-7 month.

Canadian Tire is rip off on most guns. You can get the PPK for around $125 CND new (they go for $75 in US). Over all it’s not a bad gun but it’s definitely not a bullseye/target gun. It’s also one of the weakest once around at 250fps (average is around 400fps). If you want power try Crosman 2240 ($80) but 5-6 times the power (no exaggeration).

This gun rocks man and the blowback is amazing.
I also purchased my gun at Canadian tire and I looked everywhere for a good price and you cant get a better deal then that... Hotsky's comment said that this gun was expensive... he is probably didnt relize that the gun that 1337man bought was the ppk kit and that is more expencive then buying the ppk by its self. Anyways this gun does the job and it is a good price i would also recommend this gun. This gun is not a rip off. Oh and by the way Hotsky, on websites they say this gun has the fps of 262.. BUT on the back of the package it says 295fps .. so get your facts straight before talking.

Great review. I think everyone loves this gun. everyone but hotsky.

Sharpshooter77, lol. I used to like this gun too...like I said it was fun for a while...I just like something that can actually hit what I’m aiming at.

Rocker554, I didn’t say ppk is a rip off, I sad Canadian Tire’s price on the ppk is a rip off. I bought the kit too, (and I know all about 295fps on the back of the package). Also the kit is junk; all you get is children’s shooting glasses, 250bb’s and a 2 CO2s; big deal. I can get all that for under $5! There are a number of stores that sell the ppk/s for $125 or a black one for $115, So yes I do think that $150+ tax is a rip off for that gun. BTW in US they go for $75 which is what $91CND? still think that $150 is a fair price?

Now about the power, according to Umarex (manufacturer) the velocity is 260fps, but Crosman (North American distributor) claims 295fps. Crosman seems to put a higher velocity on all the products they import. To make this short I know someone who measured the velocity of the gun and got a 250fps max. so yeah, I do get my facts straight before talking…

I just reread the review and I noticed that 1337man said ‘the power of it was really strong’ which is simply not true; it’s one of the weakest airguns out there. It may be more powerful than the p22 air soft that he has but that still doesn’t make it powerful.

Also the blowback is really WEEK compared to a real gun’s recoil. Not worth the $150 for sure!

Hotsky of course it is going to be cheeper in the USA because there all trigger happy red necks!

1 this gun is great and it looks way better then your ugly Crosman 2240 ... and yes LOOKS DO MATTER!!! AND THIS GUN HAS GREAT AMING

  8. hotsky Rank: Lieutenant-Colonel on 19th Jul 2005

Rocker554, I never said the PPK is ugly, and btw I care a lot about looks a in guns myself… But you shouldn’t refer to 2240 as ‘mine’ since I don’t own that gun. The only reason why I mentioned the 2240 is because he said something about power and I believe that it’s the most powerful CO2 handgun you can have in Canada without FAC (PAL).

What do you mean by ‘this gun has great aiming’? Sure it feels nice in hand. But it doesn’t change the fact that it has the WORST accuracy. If you don’t believe me try other guns and see for yourself.

OH WOW... EVERYONE LOVES THIS GUN. I HAVE USED THE PPK/S FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND IT IS STILL SECOND BEST ON MY LIST....IT HAS A NICE LOOK AND ITS BLOWBACK...THATS WHY I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE OF THE BLOWBACK ...SO I REALLY DONT CARE IF IT ISNT THE STRONGEST GUN IM NOT PLANING ON KILLING ANYTHING...GOD. AND ....AND THIS GUN IS ACCURATE..

  10. hotsky Rank: Lieutenant-Colonel on 21st Jul 2005

I bought the PPK for the blowback as well, I just wanted something with a little ‘feedback' but I guess I just didn’t think it was fan to get groups that looked like a shotgun pattern.

Now just wondering how accurate is your PPK anyways? What distance are you shooting it from? What kind of groups are you getting (in inches) lol. If you consider hitting a pop can from 5m is accurate than sure the PPK is accurate, but buy my standards an accurate pistol can produce 1in groups at 10m.

And what’s the other gun that you like better (let me guess you only have two)?

Don’t take it personal, just want to make sure people know what they getting into…

Hey, I resemble that remark. I'm from the states but I don't think I'm a redneck...although, I do know a few. Anyways, I love my PPK/S to pieces, but even I don't think it's all that powerfull and it's definitely NOT accurate. I own about 23 Airguns and I know it's not as accurate as most of them. Just to clear the air. But I love all of my Walthers. They are wonderful pistols. Enough said.

The take down is a charm (just like a Walther PPK). You just pull the trigger guard down and pull back the slide.
