General Comments

Guerlain Samsara - When I sprayed this on, I really didn't smell any of the fruity ingredients. It was straight to the jasmine, sandalwood and musk for me. I didn't like it on my skin, and that became a problem because one quick spritz on my wrist lasted a looong time; it's very, very strong. When I saw my boyfriend later in the day, he broke into an exaggerated cough and asked what I was wearing. He then said Samsara smells like something his grandmother would have worn when she wanted to get "dolled up."

It's been out since 1989 but hasn't held up quite like Shalimar, which really isn't my kind of perfume either; but I think it's nice on more mature women. If you remember and like those stronger types of perfume -- and want a signature scent that no one else is wearing -- this might be for you.
