Good Points
Extremely fine image quality, light weight.
Bad Points
One only, the poorly thought-out lens shade system. The lugs on the lens and the grooves in the hood wear badly, resulting in a very loose fit. Try a LIGHT coating of clear bathtub caulk on these surfaces.

I am rediscovering the 50mm after 35 years of photography. It is an interesting exercise in composition to see whether you can pull it off with a 50 before going wider. This 50mm is as good as it gets. My much, much more expensive Leica 50 shows no significant difference in micro-contrast and resolution.
