General Comments

The dishwasher has been a total waste of money since the day we bought it
The engineers have been out 11 times in the 20 months we have had it.
The items replaced are as follows:- new door, new pumps x 3, new terminals on the 3 new pumps, new program control pack, and a new motor.
I'm sorry, but if a dishwasher can't wash dishes without the thing falling apart every 2 months, on average, then there must be a serious problem with this model!

I phoned Indesit to ask for a replacement, and got the best response I have heard in years... "I'm sorry Mr Stephens, but we can't replace your dishwasher as it states in youre extended warranty, as the appliance does not meet the requirements for it having a poor service history". "Another engineer will be out in ten days to fix it"
Well, Indesit can now stick it up there (you know where), as far as I am concerned
I will never be buying from Comet, or another indesit product again!
Rant over. Thanks. Now I am off to look for the watchdog website.

I must agree with the comment about the (so called) engineers. While our dishwasher performed OK for the first 4.9 years on the eve of the extended warranty expiring so did the machine. After the 5th 'engineer' failed to fix it I pointed out that the warranty said that the machine would be replaced if Indesit couldn't fix it - they said that they wouldn't consider a replacement until it was at least 10 years old. In all it took 9 visits to fix a broken pump. This included 1 trip to fit the new pump, 1 to fit some sort of electrical kit, 6 to figure out why it still wasn't working and the last one to find out that the pump was not fitted correctly in the first place and that the idiot that fitted the electrical kit didn't bother reconnecting the wires (he just left them hanging free!!). When you phone them up and ask to speak to a supervisor they refuse to put you through but instead give you an email address. They then ignore your emails.
Now I will also not be buying an Indesit/Hotpoint product ever again.

The most telling thing was when I asked the last Indesit engineer (the one that finally fixed the machine) what he would recommend - he said Bosch.
