Battery life
Compact for travelling
None (honestly!)
Well perhaps the case doesn't give the drivers enough protection (but very minor).
Bought this Creative Travelsound to take on holiday and was a little sceptical of the excellent reviews as I've have various 'portable' speaker sytems over the years.
I was wrong!
It's not a hi-fi sound but produces a great sound with pretty good volume. Took it to Glastonbury recently for some after hours tunes along with 5 sets of batteries, it came back with the original set of rechargeables still in it!
Has some nice features.
- A 'wide' switch to spread the sound a little wider. Works OK if that's your thing
- A normalisier that effectively limits the volume to keep the distortion down but with this off it can easily go a couple of notches higher without sounding too bad.
It's also nice to not have to deal with a multitude of wires other than the one (included) to your MP3 player.
The only downside I can note is the carry case doesn't offer the drivers any protection but they are metal so the risk is less than with normal speakers. Am just a little careful how I pack it in my bag.
