Good Points

Fast, close shaving, no messy cleaning.


Bad Points

This is being really picky but the clean and charge unit is a little bulky, if you have ladies in the household and you're fighting for space amongst hair spray cans, make-up, moisturisers, shampoos and straighteners you need it to be compact.


General Comments

I've now had the Braun Activator 8595 for just over a month and it's the best shaver I've ever had and has cut the shaving time by half from my previous shaver so that's more zzzz's in the morning. The shaver head has a new hole pattern and the head oscillates in 4 directions to ensure it cuts hairs growing in any direction. The shaver has 2 settings for shaving and 1 for the trimmer. The first setting allows the head to pivot as you shave following the contours of your face, the second setting locks the head to enable you to shave into difficult places i.e. under the nose. The shaver comes with the clean and charge station, a cartridge of the cleaning solution and the universal connector.

Load the cartridge into the clean and charge station and connected it up, each time you connect the station it examines how much solution is in it and indicates it with a small light. When you load the shaver in to the station it checks how much cleaning is required and again indicates it with a small led light. Pressing the button at the front starts the cleaning and charging process.

When it's finished the shaver can be returned to its own case cleaned, charged and smelling of lemon.
