small lightweight phone, with lots of features. 300 number phone book is an improvement.T9 is a necessary if you are a person who use sms/wap for communication. Good reception, sound quality, LOUD ring tones.GPRS
Bad Points
Bit on the low end as far as the standby and talk time. gprs failed after some time. Display went garbled after 1 month of having bought it. menus very slow, writing messages take a long time, battery reading was incorrect most of the time. the phone suddenly shuts off while you are writing a SMS message or when using GPRS.
General Comments
I bought this phone in late november 2002. Its performance was ok when compared to other phones but slow response rate for menu navigation, writing messages, gprs failing, display failing, battery not showing the correct standby and talk times, user created ring tones play at a faster rate, phone gets stuck in some menus. Apart from that, this is a good phone. had it sent to Ericsson for repairs twice and on the 2nd time, I requested a new phone as this phone was giving me trouble all the time. When I went to collect it, they said that the phone was defective and hence gave me a replacement phone. Hope it lasts long and not having to return it again to Ericsson for another replacement. I did not hear the much talked about 'hum'. but if im to compare the T65 with my Ericsson R320s then, the R320 beats it as that phone had none of the problems mentioned above, even after 2years. <
