Extremely cheap door shelves.
Bulbs need replaced regularly.
Blackening around bulb fitting.
Glass-shelve edgings all now broken twice in less than 1 year.

Freezer compartment door ill-fitting. Have to unscrew the whole door to defrost as compartment completely iced-up. Catch broken also.
Poor after-sales.
General Comments
Less than 3 years since I bought this Smeg Fab28 fridge, it is heading to the tip. It will have a sign on it, informing any passers by, not to buy a fridge of this type.
This is the most over-priced, unreliable electrical appliance I have ever purchased. Having spent nearly £900 I was expecting a quality product that was durable, reliable and most importantly fit for purpose. After 6 months, and considerable wastage of food items that had perished because of inadequate temperature control, I soon realised I had wasted my money.
After replacing the plastic trims that hold the shelves in place, earlier this year for a cost of circa £80, they have now cracked again. I have informed Smeg after-sales that there seems to be some major design flaws with this product, but as anticipated, no-one was interested.
My advice, please do not buy a Smeg FAB28 fridge.

Once again it mentions SMEG's lack or interest in solving consumer problems with the unit, and of problems with basic design strength.
