Bad Points
PC Connectivity
General Comments
This phone lacks software to connect it to your PC to upload pictures - BEWARE! I think its a very cynical move on part of O2 and Sharp - is this true of the GX10 too?? Other than that very good, nice size.

Both the GX1 with O2 and the GX10 of Vodafone do not have pc connectivity. True enough, a move to stop people getting free ringtones. Just use your O2 gprs. You SHOULD get all inclusive GPRS space/

Thanx Blabb, it will be very useful to know whether the data cable can be used to transfer pics from the phone to a computer as it will greatly increase the usefulness of the camera. Could you also tell me how much you have found the cable for? I think I saw one somewhere for about £40.

Knox is right there is a data cable available for the sharp GX1 - Data Cable XN-1DC10. I have ordered and will update you on whether it does mean you can move pictures and sound files to your phone. If it does mean you can then this phone is well worth purchasing.

If you looked into the gx1 in more depth on the net you would have found out that it is possible to connect it to your pc, although the connection enables the modem, the data cable can also be used for your purposes too. Perhaps a usb IR dockingbay may also get round the problem.

By that do you mean that you can use the free gprs to transfer pics off the phone? Because the O2 deal I was looking at includes 0.5Mb per month of gprs, which could save abit off money over paying 40p per mms msg.
