Bad Points

General Comments
When set up well, these tiny Altec Lansing 2100 speakers perform pretty well, imaging nicely and giving a good stereo spread; the dynamics are not at all bad. From such small drivers (2x2") I'm quite impressed. Clarity is good, and the mid-range is pretty impressive; turn the sub down to minimum and there is an fair amount of mid-tones. Turn the sub back up and the whole frequency fills in pretty well, although the bass can be kinda variable. It's not the 'one-note bass' that so many subs deliver, but it does vary according to frequency, but overall the sub does a good job; just don't turn it up too high... again that set-up problem. Get it right and this system can deliver a great performance, add in the fact that they are not too expensive, and you get a package that I think is excellent value for money.
